NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
RICHMOND TOWNSHIP
Notice is hereby given that there will be a public
hearing before the Richmond Township Planning Commission
on Wednesday, June 21, 2006, at the Richmond Township
Hall, located at 34900 School Section Road, Richmond,
Michigan, beginning at 7:00p.m. The purpose of the
public hearing is to hear comments relating to the
proposed amendments to the Richmond Township Zoning
Ordinance being Ordinance #90. The proposed Ordinance
amendments are summarized as follows:
Amend Article 12 SPECIAL LAND USE APPROVAL, by amending
Section 12.36 Yard Waste Commercial Composting
Facilities as summarized as follows:
The proposed amendments would require additional
monitoring and reporting of the operation, additional
physical screening of the site and finally additional
requirements for the overall operation of a commercial
composting operation.
Copies of the Zoning Text are available for inspection
at the Township Hall during regular business hours and
will be available at the time and place of the public
hearing. All interested citizens will be given an
opportunity to comment on this application. Written
comments may be submitted up to the meeting time.
