Elections

Residents of Richmond Township may register to vote at the township office or at the Secretary of State branch office.

Any registered voter can vote by absentee ballot.  They must first apply for an absentee ballot by completing the absentee ballot application.  Once the ballot is filled out, it needs to be returned to the clerk's office.   It must be signed, dated and an address where to send the ballot to to be accepted. The clerk will then mail an absentee ballot to the address given on the application.

By law, Michigan voters must apply for an absentee ballot for every election.  Voters can request to be put on the permanent absentee ballot list which will trigger the automatic mailing of the application in advance of each election.

To check your absentee voter status, please contact the clerk's office or email:  deputyclerk@richmondtwp.org
